Garcia, Edward (Lalo)
was born February 5, 1921 in Gilbert, Arizona. He passed away in Mesa on Friday, March 7th, 2014 at age 93 surrounded by his loving family. Edward is survived by his wife Lucy of 63 years, his daughter Sylvia Valenzuela and husband Mike Valenzuela, Brother Jesus Garcia, his granddaughter Amelia Fisher and her husband Daniel Fisher, Grandson Eddie Valenzuela and fiance Ann Valenzuela and Great Grand Children Danielle and Aaron Fisher. He served his country for (4) years in the United States Army during WWII in the South Pacific and was awarded the Bronze Star for his exemplary service. Edward was employed most of his life in the construction industry. What started for him as a hobby, he soon discovered that lawn mower repair was his new calling. Visitation is from 9am-11am on Saturday, March 15 with services from 11-12:30pm and graveside following at Resthaven Park Mortuary & Cemetery 4310 E Southern Ave.Phoenix, AZ 85042. Arrangements were entrusted to Resthaven Park Mortuary & Cemetery.
