The Guest Book is expired.
Born in 1967 to Anne and Richard Wheelock and little sister to Virginia Ivie "Ginny". You cannot talk about Betsy or Ginny without talking about the other sister. Their love for one another was truly special. Betsy graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler Texas then earned a degree in Education from the University of Texas, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Working in Dallas, she met her future husband and married in 1995. Moving to Phoenix in 1997, Betsy taught school until her son Quentin was born in June of 1999. In 2002, they adopted a beautiful daughter, Mary Jane, from China. After triumphantly fighting off breast cancer in 2000, a more aggressive form attacked her again in 2014. After enduring chemo and surgery, Betsy passed away early Friday morning August 22nd. Betsy is survived by her husband Jeff, and children Quentin and Mary Jane; her parents Anne and Richard of Dallas: her sister Ginny Thomas and husband Tim Thomas of San Diego, as well as her nieces and nephews, extended family, and many great friends. Betsy was well loved by everyone that knew her. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug 30, at Trinity Cathedral at 100 W. Roosevelt St, Phoenix, AZ 85003.
