Roberts, Eric Charles
35, of Mesa passed away on September 17, 2012. Eric graduated from Arizona State University where he played baseball. He was accredited with the Court of Master Sommeliers and was Co-Founder and Executive Sommelier for Vivant Wine Events promoting wine education. Eric was predeceased by his mother Linda Harvey Spryn. He is survived by his fiance Alena Diaz; son Drake Roberts of Kansas; father Mark Roberts, brother Evan Roberts, and grandparents Charles and Shirley Roberts all of Indiana; parents of his fiance Lionel and Jacqueline Diaz of Mesa and a best canine buddy, Lucky. A celebration of his life will occur on October 13, 2-4 pm at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd. in Tempe. Arrangements were made by Carr-Tenney Mortuary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Eric Roberts Wine Education Scholarship Fund at Yavapai College Foundation, 1100 E. Sheldon St., PMB 6904, Prescott, AZ 86301. Tel. (928) 776-2359.
