Born July 25, 1927, in Rocksprings, TX - died at the age of 85 on November 23, 2012, of COPD in Sun City, AZ. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Vincent Camp Jr., who affectionately called her "Doll." Ray and Jo enjoyed dancing and traveling, and built a memorable life together while raising their combined families of seven children. Jo is survived by her children: Kathleen Moore Connolly, Pamela Moore, Debra Camp Gottenbusch, and Cynthia Camp Davis; and step-children John Camp, James Camp, and Jacalyn Camp; and a multitude of wondrous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by parents Zeb Lee Newsom and Mable Golda Johnson, and step-father Tom Reed Sr. Jo Bell "Babe" reigned as Arizona State Rodeo Queen in 1945 while majoring in art at Arizona State University. She spent her formative years as a cowgirl at her step-father Tom Reed Sr.'s Rocking Chair Ranch in Heber, Arizona. Later years were spent in selfless love and devotion as homemaker, mother and wife. Her personal pleasures included solving word and picture puzzles; playing bingo; reading and watching crime mysteries, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy; and exploring resourceful and creative ways to accomplish any task. On December 8 at 11 AM, a memorial service will be held at Regency Mortuary, 9850 W Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City, AZ. Private interment to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Peoria, AZ.
