To Kirby's family. He was such an interesting, wonderful man. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to know him. I am married to Kirby's nephew (John Pittman). My father lives in Mesa also and we would sometimes visit when we would come from Chicago. It was always a pleasure to spend time with him and Marlena. So warm and welcoming. I am so saddened by this. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dad, you were taken too young, you fought until the end. You never gave up. I will never forget the lessons you taught me. We miss you.

Kirby and I go back to the 1970's when he took me under his wing and mentored me in becoming a very successful real estate salesman. Kirby and his wife Felicienne were two of the finest, kindest, loving and admired couples I have ever known. I witnessed Kirby many times helping out someone who had fallen on hard times by offering them a job. He was a defender of the little guy against the bureaucracy and municipal politics. It was a great joy to watch his kids grow up whom he cherished so dearly. He will be missed by many who knew him.
