Malstrom, Lloyd Davis
88, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 2, 2014. Lloyd was a WWII veteran, serving in the campaigns of southern France and central Europe. He had a successful career as a salesman and manager in the banking equipment industry. As a retiree, Lloyd was active in the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars for many years. He served as past Commander of Post 91 and was instrumental in the development of the Veteran Memorial Signage on Interstate 17. His hobbies included playing pool, singing karaoke, yodeling, dancing and bowling. He was an active member in his church. Lloyd was known for his warrior spirit, charismatic personality and concern for others. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his two daughters, Dee Crockett (AZ) and Debbie Higginbotham (NC), son-in-law Frank Higginbotham and four grandchildren - Dorin and Frank Higginbotham, Dana and Denise Crockett. Memorial will be held at Cactus Christian Fellowship, 2401 E Cactus Rd., 11 AM January 11, 2014 and Celebration of Life at American Legion Post 107, 20001 N. Cave Creek Rd, at 2 PM on January 11, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Wounded Warriors or Disabled Veterans.
