Manuel "Manny" Mireles passed away Monday, July 7, 2014. We will gather for a viewing from 4-8 p.m. and recite the rosary at 7 p.m., tonight, Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Mortuary, 9925 W. Thomas Road, Avondale. Family and friends will celebrate his life of 62 years during a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla Street, Glendale, Arizona. Manuel Arcadio was born on January 15, 1952, to Manuel and Eloisa Tarin Mireles in Alpine, TX. Manny graduated from Central High School in San Angelo, Texas. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Angelo State University and later completed his master's degree from Arizona State University. On August 23, 1975, Manny married the love of his life, Gloria Arredondo at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lamesa, Texas. He was employed with General Motors for 30 years in the finance department and retired as a supervisor. Manny was currently employed with Wells Fargo Call Center. Manny is survived by his wife, Gloria Mireles; two sons, Fabian Mireles and wife, Ileana, Alexander Arcadio Mireles; granddaughter, Bianca Mireles; siblings, Pete Mireles and wife, Amelia, Sylvia Ponce, Enedina Hernandez, Yolanda Barrera and husband, Joe; four brothers-in-law: Gilbert Arredondo and wife, Sally, Lasaro Arredondo and wife, Cindy, Eddie Arredondo and wife, Lourdes, Larry Arredondo and wife, Berta; four sisters-in-law: Juanita Arredondo, Rosa Arredondo, Tila Martinez, Nieves Medeiros and husband, Steve. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Eloisa Tarin Mireles.
