died on July 16, 2014 at the age of 66. He was the first of four sons. He always said being the first born developed his leadership skills. Skills learned at the expense his surviving brothers: Stephen, Robert and David. He knew he wanted to be an engineer by the age of eight. Math was his second language. Mark graduated from the University of Illinois in 1969 with a BS in Engineering. And he wanted to work on cars or airplanes. He got his wish by working for Sperry Avionics in Phoenix. He retired from Honeywell's Commercial Aviation Systems Division as Director of Operations Engineering. He loved to lunch with friends, target shoot, manage the family's finances, go off-road four-wheeling, restore old cars, play with all the features of his beloved phone and nap on the couch with a fat calico cat on his lap. Mark had a very happy childhood, a career he loved and a wonderful 44 year old marriage with his surviving wife, Patricia. He was the nicest and smartest of men & he will be very much missed. But his time with us was extremely well spent. Memorial services will be held in the Chapel at the American Lutheran Church of Sun City. 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd. on Saturday, July 26, at 10:30 a.m.
