of Tempe, Arizona, born on March 2, 1937 passed away on February 3, 2013. Margarita was born to Margarita and Rodrigo Riveros in Bogota, Colombia South America. An experienced instructor and practicing seamstress with formal education from Colombia, S.A., Los Angeles, CA and New York in Fashion Design and Technology including TV and Theatre Costumes fromUCLA. With over 56 yrs of teaching Clothing Construction and Serger Applications, in CA, AZ and UT . Active member of the American Sewing Guild. Taught multiple classes for MB Sewing Enterprises, her own business and at Mesa Community College, Scottsdale Community College, Rio Salado College, and several sewing stores and Seniors Centers in Arizona and California. Margarita is a lifetime member of the Adjunct Faculty Association of Maricopa Community Colleges. Creator of the Horizontal Thread Holder and the Two Needle Installer, sold across the U.S. Each year she would organize a group of volunteers to sew and donate hundreds of tiny gowns to hospitals and clinics for the preemies born here in the valley. Above all, Margarita was a great mom and loving wife. She is survived by her loving husband Luis Bohorquez, children Luis Bohorquez II (son), Adriana Burton (daughter), Juan S. Bohorquez (son) , grandchildren Arielle Bohorquez, Brianna Bohorquez, Athena Burton, and many other loving friends and family including Kevin Burton, Maria Garcia and Emily Garcia. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 8, 2013 at Green Acres Mortuary, with Funeral Service to follow at 2:30 PM in Green Acres Chapel of Light, located at 401 N. Hayden Rd.
