Fredrickson, Michael Perry
Michael Perry Fredrickson passed away Friday August 15, 2014 at his home in Mesa, AZ at the age of 66. Michael was born February 21, 1948 in Devils Lake North Dakota, the son of Ralph and Kennes Fredrickson. He attended grade school in Loveland, Colorado before moving to Mesa in 1961. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1966 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Arizona State University. Michael served in Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army. He was a photographer and worked as a grip in the film industry, working on many of the movies filmed in Arizona in the last 40 years. Michael is survived by his sisters Mary Bolig and Sharon (Mark) Groce and 5 nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces and a great nephew. There will by a visitation and rosary 6-8 Thursday evening Aug. 21 at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald in Mesa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday Aug 22 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 N. Macdonald in Mesa followed by burial at the Mesa City Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Michael's memory can be made to Disabled American Veterans or Flashes of Hope, an organization dedicated to creating powerful, uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
