Papsdorf, Nancy Jean
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Papsdorf of Mesa, AZ on August 23, 2014 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was born in Lansing, MI to Karl and Barbara Bleisch on June 22, 1963, the youngest of five children. She graduated from Waverly High School where she played in the marching band. During her time in high school, she spent four summers touring Europe with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp Band. She later graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Nancy married Jon on July 19, 1986 in Lansing, MI. Her proudest achievement was raising four beautiful, loving children. She passed on her love of music and baking to her children, three of which have been members of the Arizona State University Sun Devil Marching Band with the fourth in the Mountain View Toro Marching Band. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Karl Laurenz Bleisch. She is survived by her mother Barbara Jean Bleisch; her husband Jon Scott Papsdorf; her children Laura Mae, Andrew James, Meghann Nicole, Nicholas Edward; her sisters Karol Sue (Bleisch)/Gary Hufnagel of Florida, Judy Kay (Bleisch)/Thomas Carl Peterson of Michigan; her brothers Roy William Bleisch /Janet Williams (Cayo) of Michigan, Karl Laurenz Bleisch of Arizona; her sisters in-law Shelly Ann (Shinevar) of Michigan, Sherry Lynn (Barnhart) of Michigan. In lieu of flowers and because of her love for music, please mail all donations to the Mountain View Band Boosters in care of Nancy J. Papsdorf at 2700 E. Brown Road, Mesa, AZ 85213. A celebration of her life will be held at Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay Road, Mesa, on Friday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m.
