87, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on February 6, 2012. Born in Kankakee, Illinois in 1924 to Harvey Roy Reed and Margaret Zoph Reed, Patricia came from a pioneering family. Her parents and four children moved to Arizona in 1927, spending a short time in Phoenix, before locating near Flagstaff. They dry farmed from 1927-1943 in the Bonita Park area, nestled beneath Sunset Crater. Patricia's career included the Federal Civil Service, the Veteran's Administration, and the Phoenix Veteran's Administration Hospital. In 1951 she married Daniel R. Iannella. Patricia's pioneering spirit continued throughout her life. After raising her family, she learned to drive at age 53, and graduated from Arizona State University in 1983 at the age of 59. She loved to travel, and visited many places around the world. Her talents and interests included being a skilled sketcher and artist, avid reader and master of letter writing. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, her sister, Margaret Jean Zussman, and her brother, Raymond E. Reed. She is survived by her sister Marilyn Mowad, son Richard Iannella, daughter Peggy (Jerry) Grubel; five grandchildren: Richard, Tracey, Kali, Trey, and Teague, and five great grandchildren. She also leaves behind beloved nieces, nephews and god daughter, as well as friends Margi Massimo, Gail Bradford, and Calvin Wambaugh.
