Peter graduated from the Peddie School, Wesleyan University (CT) in 1957 and earned his J.D. from Columbia University in 1960. Peter practiced law for 53 years, a partner in firms in NY, CA and AZ. He was most recently of Counsel to Weiss & Moy, P.C. in Scottsdale. Recognized around the globe for his pioneering work in entertainment and business intellectual property law, Peter's client list included Star Wars, The Hunger Games, Rambo, Terminator, Tarzan, Woody Woodpecker, Cathy, Breeder's Cup, The Price is Right, Barbie, 1984 Winter Olympics, Michael Jackson, Wolfgang Puck, Bank of America, Technicolor, T-Gen, United Artists Records, Capitol Records, Security Pacific Bank and 20th Century Fox -- to name a few. He was honored numerous times as one of the Best Lawyers in America and was an adjunct professor at ASU's Barrett Honors College. Known for his signature "Harry Caray" glasses and his love of red shoes, Peter's passions included reading, travel, sports cars and the dozens of dogs he and Wendie enjoyed over the years -- most recently their Briards, Brynne and Dylan. Keeping exactly to his wishes, a small, private brunch "party" was held in Scottsdale to celebrate his life. Donations are encouraged to the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale Breast Cancer Center.
