Philip M. Busse (Pop-Pop), 82, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at his home in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on October 4, 1931 in Ossining, NY to Salvatore and Florence Busse. He graduated from Ossining High School in 1949 and went on to serve in the Navy during the Korean War. His destroyer, the USS Shelton (DD-790) received eight battle stars. He married Elizabeth in 1953 in New York. They were happily married for 61 years. Philip was a member of the Elks Club, VFW, and the Tin Can Sailors. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family. Philip is survived by his wife Elizabeth, son Wayne Busse, from Peekskill, NY, daughter Donna Sokolik from Scottsdale, AZ, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held at 2PM, Friday, January 24, 2014, National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix. A memorial service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, January 25, 2014, Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
