Chubbuck, Robert Edward
of Kernersville, NC, age 71, passed away on Friday afternoon, November 16, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Robert Chubbuck was born on August 4, 1941 in Everett, Massachusetts to the late Edward H. Chubbuck and Verna L. (Stratton) Chubbuck. After High School, Bob joined the US Navy, becoming Quartermaster before being honorably discharged in 1964. He graduated from Arizona State University, with a BS in Business. Bob, a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in High Point, NC, was also a Mason and a Shriner. In 1963, he married Helen L. "Lorri" Francis on July 6, 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona. Together they had two children, Robert and Heather. Over the course of his professional career, he worked for several companies in the hair care industry. Ultimately retiring in 2002 from L'Oreal as Director of Sales and Marketing in New York City. Shortly after his cancer diagnosis, Bob proudly joined the Regional Advisory Board of the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He served as an inspirational advisor among the board and helped other cancer patients navigate through their own treatment plans. Survivors include his wife, Lorri; his mother Verna of Glendale, Arizona; his son, Robert and his wife Kristen of Leesburg, Virginia; his daughter, Heather Chenevert and her husband, Michael of Kernersville, North Carolina; his brother, John D. Chubbuck and his wife, Elaine of Scottsdale, Arizona; his sister Dawn Langill of Glendale, Arizona; and his brother-in-law, Daniel Francis and his wife Mariette of Tucson, Arizona. Bob was also a grandfather to six grandchildren. Adam, Jason, Michael, Jillian, Faith Anne, and Michaela. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 5:00pm at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in High Point, North Carolina.
