Kiesecker, Robert Sr.
78, of Mesa, Arizona entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2013 at his home in Mesa. Robert was born in Glen Cove, New York and was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force and later commissioned officer in the U.S. Army until his retirement in 1974. Locally, he is remembered as a teacher at Westwood High School. Robert was active with Resurrection church and St. Vincent De Paul as well as service on several community Knights of Columbus councils, including attainment of Arizona District Master. Robert is survived by his wife Ramona Kiesecker; children Robert, Jr., Peter and Diana; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and sisters Joann and Patricia. Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Mortuary, 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday, January 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection, 3201 S. Evergreen Rd., Tempe. Entombment with military honors will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Vincent De Paul at Church of the Resurrection.
