age 71, died peacefully in his sleep, March 28th, with his wife, Barbara, by his side. Ron had a long and distinguished career with the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service to his country and was a combat veteran of Vietnam. During his tenure in the Air Force he was the recipient of the Airmen's Medal, the highest honor to be received outside of war, for saving the life of a fellow Airman. Ron also worked for the Arizona Department of Transportation for 18 years before retiring once again. He is survived by his wife Barbara A. Courter of 43 years, his brother Donald Courter, his children Jeanne Courter-Schwartz, Kimberly Dominguez, Michelle Marmorstein, Darin Courter and David Courter. He is survived by 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3rd, at Tempe Mortuary from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, located at 405 E. Southern Avenue, Tempe, Arizona 85202.
Services will be held Thursday, April 4th, at Grace Community Church, at 11:00 am, located at 1200 E. Southern Avenue, Tempe, Arizona 85282.
Gravesite services will be held at Resthaven following the church services at 12:30 pm, located at 4310 E. Southern Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85042.
