Garcia, Rosalie Galindo
passed away on June 22, 2013. She was born on August 1, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona to Frank and Carmen Galindo of El Mirage, Arizona. She attended school in the Dysart School District. She was a cheerleader at Dysart High School, where she played four sports. She graduated from Glendale Community College, where she played on the tennis team. She continued her education at Arizona State University and graduated with a degree in Education. During her years at ASU, she met and married her husband, Arthur. She returned to Dysart School District as a teacher and retired in 2008. She was named Teacher of the Year by Wal-Mart and Dysart School District. She was honored at the dedication ceremony for Willow Canyon High School as a member of the first graduating class of Dysart High School. She was an inspirational, loving, fashion savvy, and dedicated woman. To many she was a role model, mentor and a second mom. She was a loving mother to three children, Arthur Jr., Steven, and Monica. She is survived by her husband, her children and her three granddaughters, Rebecca, Naomi, and Samantha. She is also survived by her sisters, Evangeline, Edilia, Margaret, and Ernestine, her brothers Henry and Frank and many nephews and nieces. A visitation will be held at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at Saint Paul's Catholic Church on Thursday, Jun 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a burial ceremony at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
