Ruth met the love of her life and soul mate, Pete Hanges, in Pocatello ID. They married in 1975 and remained so until her death. Ruth believed in challenging oneself to reach the highest potential. She was one of the first graduates of Utah State University's Nurse Practitioner program in 1972 and went on to earn her Masters in Counseling in 1987. She enjoyed writing database programs and specialized in regulatory compliance issues, retiring from an international NDE company last August at the age of 78. Ruth thoroughly enjoyed researching the latest nutritional information to help keep herself and her family strong and she believed in the power of prayer. She loved attending her grandchildren's athletic games and watching all of them mature into awesome young men and women.
