66, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on June 19th, 2013 after a long and difficult battle with a reoccurrence of breast cancer. She died peacefully at home with Patrick Ertz, her partner in life of 29 years, and her beloved dog, Zoey Bear, by her side. Sharon was born on October 1st, 1946 in Hanover, PA to the late William and Marguerite Long. Sharon grew up in Littlestown, PA and is survived by her sister Barbara, her brother-in-law Daniel, her niece Michelle, and nephew Neil. After graduating from Littlestown HS, Sharon's adventures in life began, having lived and worked in Washington DC, South Carolina, New Jersey, Maryland, and spent the last 29 years in Scottsdale, AZ. Sharon could not imagine living anywhere else. She loved Scottsdale. She enjoyed traveling, lunches and dinners with friends, and most of all, she loved shopping. Sharon was a truly remarkable person that could make a friend of anyone. She will be returning to Littlestown where her ashes will be interred in the family plot at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Sharon will be missed by her many friends, especially those from the Mountainside Fitness Center who will be holding a Celebration of Life, at the home of Candace Haine, in Scottsdale on July 10th.
