Lyon, Trevilian
81, of Carefree, Arizona passed away on March 28,2014. Trevilian passed away peacefully at Vi at Grayhawk in Scottsdale on Friday of complications from Alzheimer's.
Born in Durham, N.C. on June 21, 1932 to Herman and Mattie Lyon, he was the oldest of two (sister Betsy Hendrix of Arlington, VA), attended Watts Street School, Durham High, and the University of North Carolina, graduating in 1957 with a degree in Radio, TV, and Motion Pictures. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He married schoolteacher Patricia (Pat) Crabtree on Dec. 18, 1954 and began a career in advertising and TV sales, retiring from KPNX-TV (Phoenix) in 1994. He is survived by Pat, their children Steve, David (Valerie), and Susan Lyon (Philip), his sister, and granddaughters Emily and Lindsay Lyon. Family and friends will remember T as a man with a quick wit and infectious laugh; an endless fascination with people, places, and things; and a boundless love for the people he cared about. Memorial Wed, April 2nd, 3 p.m., Paradise Valley United Methodist Church, 4455 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley with a reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger's Pinnacle Peak Mortuary.
