Robbins, William B.
Age 76. Born in Omaha, NE, he attended North High School and joined the U.S. Navy. He married sweetheart Patricia Fennell in 1957. They moved to Phoenix in 1959, where they had a son, Bill and a daughter Jodi. There, he graduated with honors from the School of Business at Arizona State University in 1965. in a life-long career with Mountain Bell and Us West, the family moved to Tucson and then to Denver, CO before returning to Phoenix -"God's country". after taking an early retirement, Bill and Pat explored Alaska, Canada, and most of the lower 49 contiguous states in there luxury RV. They celebrated their 56th Anniversary this year. After a heroic six-year battle, Bill succumbed to Merkel cell skin cancer. Throughout the ordeal he maintained his Norse strength and sense of humor. For him, family always came first. Bill's determined fight against cancer and indomitable will to live as many years as possible with his loving family inspired us. Although he couldn't conquer death, he conquered life, seizing every moment for meaning, memories, and joy. He is now living in the heart of those he touched. Our Viking Bill was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat (Peoria); son, Bill (Phoenix); daughter, Jodi and son-in-law, Bruce Liggett (Tempe); sister, Darlene (Peoria); and the apple of his eye, granddaughter, Natalie (Tucson); and nine grieving nieces and nephews across the country.
He will be cremated and interred at the Phoenix Veterans National Cemetery with military honors at 10am Wednesday, November 27.
