Marion Fox
AIKEN, SC - Marion Fox, husband of the late Mary Baughman Fox, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mr. Fox was a son of the late Marvin H. Sr. and Salley Mae Cook Fox. He served in the United States Navy Seabees during World War II. He was a carpenter and farmer and was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Mr. Fox is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Irvin) Boatwright, Ridge Spring, Susan Woodward, Aiken; four grandchildren, Tina (Martin) Redd, Brent (Katy) Boatwright, Kevin Woodward, Chad (Teresa) Woodward; eight great-grandchildren, Brianna Kitchings, Katelyn Redd, Brady, Blake and Bradley Boatwright, Collin, Colby and Carson Woodward; sister Betty Scott, Greenwood, SC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fox was preceded in death three weeks ago by his wife of 69 years; three sisters, Patricia Fox, Mildred Wren, Elva Lee Beard; three brothers, M. H. Fox, Jr., Harvey Fox, Odell Fox.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 4th at 11: 00 AM at the graveside in Central Baptist Church Cemetery with The Rev. Mike Cato officiating. Pallbearers will be M.C. Matthews, Eugene Kelly, Jerry Waters, Glenn Fox, Jr., Larry Coleman, Henry Scott.
