He is survived by his wife Doris, two sons, Leslie (Pamela), Ann Arbor, Paul (Carla), Ann Arbor, and one daughter, Mary Jane (Theodore) Bunker, Grand Blanc, his sister, Mary Ann (Bill) Hogan, Milan, six grandchildren, Stacey Aldred, David George, Suzanne George, Christine Simpson, Andrew Bunker, Catherine Hitt, nine great grandchildren, Brianna and Madelynn George, Andrew and Grace Simpson, Hannah Reish, Theodore and Charlotte Bunker, Chloe and Charles Hitt, and many nieces and nephews. TO OUR DEAR DORIS AND HER WONDERFUL FAMILY,
OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU . LES WAS A "TRUE" GENTLEMAN....AND SO SMART, SO KIND, AND SOOO ADORABLE. MANY PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THAT HE WAS THE PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE L.G.SAUERKRAUT CLUB ( HELD IN HIS BASEMENT ) ONCE A YEAR, AND THE KRAUT THAT THEY MADE WAS SOMETIMES SERVED AT THE FANTASTIC GEORGE PIG ROASTS. LES AND DORIS HOSTED EXTRAVAGANT BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND ANNIVERSARIES......AND THERE WERE MANY, MANY OF THEM; ALL THE GUESTS HAD SO MUCH FUN - EVEN THE BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR LES WHEN TWO INCHES OF RAIN CAME DOWN IN ONE HOUR. WE CAN LOOK BACK AND SMILE AT IT NOW AND WHENEVER WE THINK OF THIS DEAR MAN, PETER AND I WILL SMILE WITH LOVE IN OUR HEARTS.
LOVE, PETER AND BARBARA

We called him 'The Chief' as the leader and founder of Distributor Concepts/DEBS. He laid the foundation for a company that had customers throughout North America and had a reputation for excellence and integrity. It had the respect of an entire industry...and it started with Les Sr. He was a man who believed in hard work, integrity and people. He believed in the worth of the common man and in democratic principles. I shared a lot and learned a lot from him. Les Sr, the Chief, was a very, very good man.

To the George family. My deepest sympathies for you all. I have many fond memories of Les from my many years at DEBS. The most prominent memory is the one that impacted me significantly. It was when I got the call that my sister had a medical emergency and as I was leaving work - I mentioned it to Les. What did he do? He immediately bowed his head in prayer for my sister who he did not even know. That touched me so much!
He was a rascal (which is what was so fun about him) - but he truly had a heart of gold. Heaven just got a little better.

To Cousin Doris and all the Michigan cousins, My deepest sympathies to you all. We have lost a true gentleman. I will always remember the flowing white hair, the ever present cigar and the good times he showed me at the DC candy conventions. I know his first question in heaven will be "Do we have good cigars up here"? The world was just a little better place with Cousin Les in it!
