Alen Paul Cook
Alen Paul Cook, age 81 of Marysville, passed away on December 14, 2013 surrounded by his family.
Born in Dayton, Washington, Alen relocated to Marysville after being stationed at Beale while serving his country in the United States Air Force. It was there that he met his wife Gertrude Meyer Cook, who preceded him in death in 1993. Alen retired from PG&E after 32 years of employment; however, the occupation he cherished most was that of a full-time Grandpa.
He will be truly missed by many, including: his daughter Lori Rollins (Phil Moulder), daughter Debbie Ernenwein (Randy), and son Jim Cook (Vicki); seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was an active Elks member, regular at Suns Donuts, and spent much of his free time at his cabin in La Porte. He loved life, his country, and valued family above all else.
A family graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2:00pm, at Sutter Cemetery. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2:00pm, at Lakeside Chapel. A reception will immediately follow at the Marysville Elks Lodge.
