Gerald D. (Sleeve) Brown, MSgt., age 72, of Yuba City, passed away July 29, 2014. Gerald was born on September 18, 1941.

Sleeve was a boom operator in the US Air Force and retired after 27 years of service as a Master Sergeant E-7, a Vietnam Veteran and a member of VFW Post 1267.

He is survived by his wife, Shizue T. Brown of Yuba City; daughter, Kathy Brown of Sacramento; son Dale Brown of Boise, ID; 5 grandchildren, Baylee, Chase, Caleb, Cayden and Kara; brothers, Roger and BJ Brown of Atlanta, GA and Gary and Brenda Brown, Canton, NC.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Herschel Brown and his mother, Ollie Christine Whitted.

Viewing will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Lakeside Colonial Chapel. Interment will be Monday, August 4, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sacramento Valley Cemetery.
