Born July 28, 1944, Mason, W. Virginia, Jay entered into eternal rest August 4, 2014. He was raised in Beaver Falls, PA. After high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force launching his first career in law enforcement as an air police officer.

He met and married his life companion while stationed in Minot, N. Dakota. They moved to California where they remained to raise their family.

Jay continued to pursue a career in law enforcement for many years and later changing careers to benefit his family life. He worked until retirement at Sunsweet as a equipment mechanic.

Jay was a devoted father, grandfather and husband. His family was always the highest priority to him.

He loved hunting, fishery, camping and working at his cabin. He and his wife enjoyed cruising to Alaska and took many excursions to do so.

His children and grandchildren brought him joy. His love and laughter was always shared with them.

Jay is survived by Rose, his wife of 49 years, his son Harold Jr. (Angela), his daughter Leigh (Brett), his grandchildren Steven, Christopher, Aaron and Grazie. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Georgie, and his brother Bob.

Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Twin Cities, Thursday, 4-7pm. Graveside services Friday 1pm at Sutter Cemetery.
