Robert T. Jackson
Robert T. Jackson, 48, passed away 6:30 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, in Biggs, CA. He was a correctional deputy with Butte County Sherriff Office. He was born October 19, 1965, in Greenville, MS, a son of Billy Charles and Eva Alana (Ponder) Jackson. He married Cheryl (Lair) on April 23, 1988 in Lemoore, CA.

He was a retired Chief Petty Officer, Aviation Ordnance Chief (AW/SW) for the United States Navy. He retired after 21 years of service, and was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Cheryl Jackson of Biggs, CA; a daughter, K. Dejon Rivero of Biggs, CA; a son, Billy Jackson and wife Shelby (Wilks) of Bremerton, WA; grandsons, Cheyden, Casen, Camren, and Cashten all of Biggs, CA; and a granddaughter, Shay of Bremerton, WA, and soon to be grandchild due March 2014; his parents, Billy and Eva (Ponder) Jackson of Greenville, MS; a brother, Barry Jackson and wife Mandy and daughter, Samantha of Palmdale, CA; and his aunts and uncles, Sarah (Jackson) Lowery and husband Vernon and son, Tony of Brandon, MS; Bobby Jackson and wife Jeanie of Henryetta, OK; Billy Oakes and family, Cindy and David of Haughton, LA; James Oakes of Hattiesburg, MS; father and mother-in-law, William and Mari (Bosenko) Lair of Biggs, CA; sister-in- law, Kendall (Lair) Milburn and husband Steve and sons, Garrhett and Greyson of Biggs, CA; brother-in-law, Charles Lair and wife Desta and daughter, Aeris of Chico, CA.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Butte County Fairgrounds and will be immediately followed by reception and public visitation.

Mr. Jackson was a devoted husband, father, and paapa. He loved bass fishing, softball, and supporting local sports and community.
