Henry Marlyn Moen, 84, of Inwood, IA, passed away on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 at Fellowship Village of Inwood. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Inwood .Visitation, with family present will be held on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Memorials in his honor may be directed to Fellowship Village or Bethlehem Lutheran Church, both of Inwood, IA. Henry Moen was born on November 30th, 1928 in Inwood, IA. He was the son of Helmer and Johanne (Severtson) Moen. He married Marguerite Lems on September 12, 1951.
Henry served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. Upon his return, he joined the family business, Moen Farm Store; which has been in business 90 years.
Survivors include: his children, Mary (Bill) Kuss of Kenosha, WI; Judy (Jeff) Berger of NY, NY; Marlyn (Lu) Moen of Foristell, MO; Martha (Jeff) Frohwein of Sioux Falls, SD; Dave Hoffman of Sioux Falls, SD; Nine Grandchildren: Ashley(Andy) Henson of Farmington Mo; Alexandra Kuss; Elyse and Kirsten Moen; Jennifer (Jenny) Kuss; Stephanie (Steph) Frohwein; Amanda and Kelly Hoffman; Matthew Frohwein and one Great Grandaughter, Harper Henson; Two siblings and their spouses: Jane (Marlo) Hanson of Inwood, IA and June (Don) Katt of Alton, IA; In-laws: Bert ( Marge) Lems of Beloit, IA, Donna(Dean) Whitcomb of Sioux Falls, SD; Paul (Janet) Lems, of Canyon County, CA; Emma (Bill) DeJong of Sheldon, IA; Clarence (Alice) Lems of Canton, SD; Hilda (Ber) Krommendyk of Omaha, NE; Ruth(Chuck) Oldenkamp of Alexandria,MN; George Lems of Beloit, IA: Gerald(Cheryl) Lems of Beloit, IA; Dick(Ann) Dykstra of Hull, IA; many cousins, nieces and nephews and treasured friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marguerite, who went to be with the Lord on January 31st, 2013, his parents, his brother Herman, sisters Angela, Charlotte, Mary and infant sister, June Doris.
