Margaret E. O'Hara, 83, of Sioux Falls, SD, died August 27, 2014 at Avera Prince of Peace.

Margaret Beck was born March 24, 1931 in Humboldt, SD to Henry and Agnes (Weiland) Beck. She attended school in Humboldt, SD. On January 10, 1950, she married Gerald O'Hara and they farmed near Hartford, later moving to Sioux Falls where she worked at McKennan Hospital and the VA Hospital Medical Center. She retired in 1995.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, serving as president from 1988-89, as well as serving on a variety of other committees, and a member of St. Joseph Cathedral. Margaret's greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones!

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, G. Marvin (Gail) of SF, Agnes O'Hara of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Michael (Patty) of Wausau, WI, Kevin of North Pole, AK, Thomas (Sue) of Seattle, WA, Brian (Becca) of Sioux Falls, Daniel (Lauri) of Aberdeen, SD, Denise (Jeff) Savage of Scottsdale, AZ, and Julaine (Jon) Sannes of Sioux Falls; her 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roy and Charles Beck, and a sister, Edith Jarding.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald, brothers Henry J and Marvin, her sister Helen Dargen, and her parents.

Public visitation begins at 1:00 pm Tuesday September 2 at Miller Funeral Home, 13th & Main Avenue. The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, with a scripture service and Rosary at 7:00 pm at Miller's. The V.F.W. Auxiliary will conduct rites at 6:45, prior to the scripture service. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 am, Wednesday at St. Joseph Cathedral, with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
