Thomas Frank Crusinberry

Thomas Frank Crusinberry, 91, of Sarasota, FL died Aug. 26, 2013. He was born Sept. 1, 1921 to Clem and Pansy (Hastings) Crusinberry in Sioux Falls, SD. He served in the Army in World War II, earning a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Tom graduated from South Dakota State University with a BS degree in mechanical engineering and moved to Detroit, where he was employed by Ford Tractor Company. After retiring from Ford he helped set up Claas of America in Columbus, IN, then moved to Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John, his first wife Kathryn, and his son Thomas. Survivors include his wife Marie; daughter Barbara (Jim) Reck of Iowa City, IA; daughter-in-law Susan Crusinberry of Columbus, IN; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

An interment service will be held on Sept. 30 at 11 am at Hills of Rest Memorial Park in Sioux Falls. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or to the Music Fund at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 790 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL. To share a memory visit
