Alexander SCOTT Obituary
SCOTT, Alexander Alexander J. Scott (Jack) died July 15, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruby Beckett, Two sons, Alexander J. Jr and David B., three grandchildren, Amy Lynn Coggins, Joshua Alexander, and Charles David, and four great grandchildren: Three Sisters, Dorothy Stevens, Mildred Haynes, Betty Keane, and one brother, Charles Scott. Jack was born in 1926 in Decatur, GA. He graduated from Decatur Boys High. After graduation he served in the army from 1943 to 1945 in Europe. He attended The Atlanta Division of the University of Georgia. He became Regional Sales Manager for Duratest Lighting Corp. and travelled throughout the southeast until his retirement in 1993. He was a charter member of Hillside Presbyterian Church. For the last 25 years, he was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrews, followed by a reception in Heffner Hall.
