Family-Placed Death Notice

ABEL, Angela Angela (Rose) Abel, 45, of Alpharetta, Georgia (previously of Hastings, Minnesota) died Thursday, July 28, 2011. Angela was born in Enid, Oklahoma July 1966 to Alan & Maggi Rose. She grew up in Hastings, Minnesota, graduated from high school with honors, and then moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she received a communications degree from Northwestern University. She went on to receive her Masters degree from UNC Chapel Hill, and pursued doctorate studies in Austin, Texas. She devoted her professional career to communications and legal consulting. For the past 15+ years she had devoted her unbridled energy, intelligence, and talents at DecisionQuest's Atlanta office; a major force within the legal consulting industry. Rising quickly through the ranks, she held the position of Senior Vice President, and with the company's support, she continued to work tirelessly throughout her recent health care challenges. Angela was very active in Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, shepherded by Dr. Oliver Wagner. She enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, billiards, running, hiking, canoeing, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, cooking, entertaining, visiting museums, attending musical performances, being kind and generous to others, and most importantly, anything her daughter Ashley liked doing. Angela was preceded in death by her father Alan Rose. She is survived by the center and light of her life, daughter Ashley, her beloved Michael Sullivan, mother Margaret, brothers Steven and Anthony, uncle Jerry, aunt Susan (Doug) Lyons, many dear relatives, countless friends, and of course, her BlackBerry. All will miss her greatly. Memorial services will be held at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 6, 2011, followed by a reception to celebrate Angela's life at her home in Alpharetta. In lieu of flowers, Angela's family asks that all memorials be forwarded to the Ashley Rose Living Trust. Arrangements by SouthCare Cremation Society and Memorial Centers in Alpharetta.
