Family-Placed Death Notice

CARPENTER, Ann W. Ann W. Carpenter passed away Friday, June 15, 2012. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always caring and considerate to everyone she met. Ann embraced life and her enthusiasm was contagious. She was born in Bowling Green, Ky., to Etta and Frank Warden. She moved to Indianapolis, Ind., in her early teens where she met her future husband Frederick A. Carpenter. She was a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in history. Ann spent most of her life in Charleston, S.C., and the metro Atlanta area. She loved to travel, play bridge, and spend time with her family. She leaves behind her three children, David (Anne) Carpenter, Rick (Suzanne) Carpenter, and Carol (Don) Shaffer; seven wonderful grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. Arrangements by SouthCare Cremation and Funeral Society in Alpharetta (678) 735-5500.
