WAMMOCK, Carolyn CAROLYN ENGLISH WAMMOCK passed away on July 7th 2014 at after a long battle with Alzheimers at the age of 78. She was a lifetime resident of Decatur and Atlanta. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1953 and later graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism and Georgia State University with a Masters in Education. She taught school at Avondale Elementary School in Dekalb County until her retirement and worked for many years at Tall Tales bookstore at Toco Hills shopping center. Her loves included music, singing, good literature, nature, walking, and her dogs. She was a devoted daughter and mother. She is survived by her son Sam, his wife Jackie, and their sons Charlie and Connor. The family wishes to thank the staffs at Sunrise Huntcliff and The Fountainview Center for their loving caregiving over the past couple of years. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 25th at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur Georgia.
