Family-Placed Death Notice

REID, Douglas (Billstein) Mr. Douglas (Billstein) Reid, 66, of Sandy Springs died Monday, the 10th of June, 2013. Doug was preceded in death by his parents Edward Billstein, Jr. and Elizabeth Groover Billstein, and brother, Kurt Billstein. He moved to Atlanta as a child and attended local schools graduating from Pace Academy in 1964. He attended the University of Georgia, served his country in the U. S. Army from 1969 until 1971 and upon return completed his Bachelor of Arts at Georgia State University in 1973. Professionally Doug worked in photography and automotive sales. He will be remembered for his caring nature, caring for his mother Elizabeth up until her final days. Doug was a member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church. Surviving are his aunt, Dorothy (Larry) Mings; cousins, Debbie M. (Ken) Stephenson, Eric (Tania) Mings, Carol Jarisch, Patricia (Bob) Mahn, and numerous other members of the extended family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, the 13th of June at 1:30 in the Christ Chapel at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 805 Mt. Vernon Highway, NW, Atlanta, GA 30327. The Reverend Zachary Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or you may make a contribution to the . Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family Thursday from 12:30 until the hour of service at the church. H. M.
