APPEL, Ellsworth Ellsworth "Rocky" Emil Appel, age 82, originally from St. Louis, MO passed away Saturday, May 10th in Marietta. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Cynthia Rose Callaway Appel. He is survived by his seven children, Margaret, John (Sue), Larry (Keum), Karen (Corky), Jackie (Stephen), David, Cindy (Jessie); six grandchildren, Melanie Christina (Evan), Brian (Rachel), Alex, Mike, Jeffery, Emily; two great-grandchildren, Parker and Allison; multiple nieces and nephews; two sisters, Helen June of St. Louis, MO, Alice of Lakeland, FL. Rocky retired from the USPS Atlanta Mail Facility where he was a Tour Superintendent. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, an avid reader of books, pursued interests in rock hounding, gem faceting, and jewelry making. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and hot wings with his sons. His favorite holiday was Halloween, filling his yard with decorations and inflatables each year.
