Family-Placed Death Notice

LANGFORD, Jr., Glenn Glenn Langford, Jr., 91, of Decatur, GA passed away Wednesday, 11/06/13 He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Cobb Langford and is survived by two brothers Donald and Ronald, sons Glenn, Craig and Scott, daughters in law Patti and Keiko, grandchildren China, Misha and Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Savannah, GA January 8, 1922 to Glenn and Lena Hallman Langford. Graduated from Savannah High in 1940. He served in the Pacific theater with the U.S. Army in WW II. He and Marjorie were married on November 24, 1945 and remained a faithful and loving couple until her passing on March 19, 2012. Graduated from Tulane University in 1951. The family moved to Atlanta, GA in 1955 where he worked for Sears as a Division Manager for 27 years. He was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club and Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. A loving husband and father, kind and soft spoken, he put others first and was truly a member of "The Greatest Generation". Services to be held at the Little Chapel of Glenn Memorial UMC, 1660 North Decatur Rd., Atlanta, GA 30307. At his request donations to the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
