ROBINSON, James James Lowell Robinson, 89, of Atlanta, GA, passed away Wed., July 16, 2014, in Belleville, IL. He was born May 12, 1925, in Peoria, IL, to the late Lowell Galen and Josephine Anita, née Myers, Robinson. Following graduation from Manual High School, Peoria, IL, he joined the U.S. Navy and served three years during World War II. He attended the University of Illinois for one year. During his lifetime, James was a realtor, a land developer, and a general building contractor in Ottumwa, IA, Peoria, IL, and Atlanta, GA. Dear father of Jon Brian (Dora) Robinson of Carter, OK, Cheryl Lynn Robinson of Ranson, WV, Jan Leigh Robinson of Swansea, IL, and Steven Lowell (Judy) Robinson of Chandler, IN; dear grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of eight; beloved brother of the late John A. Robinson and the late Dr. Edith Robinson; and former husband of Virginia Ann, nee Holt, Robinson, whom he married Jan. 26, 1949, in Peoria, IL. Funeral: Private funeral services were held.
