LONG, Joseph C. Joseph Cleveland Long passed away on October 16, 2013. He was the second son of Robert Carson Long and Edna Williams Long. He was born in Atlanta, GA in 1948. Brother Joe was a graduate of Monroe Area High School and the University of Georgia. A Christian since the age of 12, he received Christ as his Savior in 1960 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Walton County. Joe was a great patriot and loved his God, country, family, and friends. He was a kind and gentle man who lived his life by our golden rule. He was a prolific writer, photographer, and astronomer and was extremely intelligent on all subjects. His communications included politicians, presidents, and ministers of faith.
