SACCA, Jr., Joseph Ronald Joseph Ronald Sacca, Jr., 51, of Gainesville, GA, died at home on Sunday, June 1, 2014 due to post surgical complications. Joseph was born in Charleston, SC on August 19, 1962 to Joseph R. Sacca, Sr. and Linda Rente Sacca. Survivors include his spouse, Jennifer Rhodes; father, Joseph Ronald Sacca, Sr.; sister, Anna P. Sacca; daughter, Caroline Roess Whitten; son, Anthony Kyle Roess; nephew, Patrick Callahan; nieces, Shawna Kareiva and Kayla Braddy; and various extended family. Joseph attended high school at Bishop England High School in Charleston, SC from 1976-1980. He served as an officer in the US Marine Corps and the Army Reserves from 1981-1988. Joseph is a member of several professional organizations including Angel Flight, AOPA, Cessna Pilot's Association and The American Red Cross. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Aviation Management. Joseph loved flying, and travelled extensively all over the world. Joseph's passion in life was being a pilot and flying his Cessna 172 Skyhawk single engine airplane. He was a highly-skilled commercial pilot and flight instructor, having earned his multi-engine, instrument and sea plane ratings. Joseph worked full-time at CNN handling the VIP desk for the CNN/TBS/Time Warner accounts. He received the Circle of Excellence award recognizing him for his outstanding work. Joseph believed in living life to the fullest - he was fearless when taking on new challenges and touched the lives of so many others with his passion and enthusiasm for life. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM TODAY, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA 30328.
