Family-Placed Death Notice
WINCH, Lynn Dillard Lynn Dillard Winch, 68, of Tucker, GA, passed away on November 7, 2012. Lynn was born January 21, 1944 in Atlanta, GA to the late Fielding and Mary (Mitchum) Dillard. She graduated from Southwest High School and attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State University, where she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. She held administrative positions with the GA Dept of Labor, Parsons Brinckerhoff and Tudor, and Rosser Fabrap. Lynn was an extremely talented musician. She played the piano and flute and was a voice major at the University of Georgia. She was also a talented artist and painter. Always enjoying a party, Lynn was a very social person. She was interested in the history and culture of Native Americans, particularly the Cherokee Nation in NC, where she lived for many years. A deeply spiritual person, she received instruction from Cherokee spiritual leaders. Mourned by her family, Lynn is survived by a son, Russell Winch of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Bonnie Games (Scott) of Falls Church, VA; two granddaughters, Grace and Olivia Games of Falls Church, VA; brother Fielding Dillard (Carolyn) of Stone Mountain, GA, and many other family members. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at H.M. Patterson and Son, Spring Hill. Online Condolences may be made at www.hmpattersonspringhill.com.
