Family-Placed Death Notice

O'HARE, Matthew MATTHEW SEAN O'HARE Matthew Sean O'Hare, 45, passed away at his home on Friday, the 8th of November, 2013. He was born in New York City but liked the warm weather and spent his adult years in Atlanta and Florida. After attending Garden City High School in Garden City NY, Matt began college at the State University of New York at New Paltz before transferring to the University of Georgia at Athens. He went on to get his JD at St. Thomas University School of Law, where he graduated with honors. Matt was a successful public defender in Miami, Florida before moving to the private sector. Matt enjoyed and closely followed politics and was a loyal NY Rangers and UGA Bulldogs fan. He is dearly missed by his family: his mother Katharine; siblings: Cartha, Jennifer, Edward Marcus (Liza); niece and nephews Kate, Edward Patrick, Andrew and Dylan; and his extended family of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Edward John O'Hare. Memorial Services will be held Friday, the 29th of November at three o'clock at the Saint Mary's Chapel at Holy Spirit Catholic Church where Monsignor Edward J. Dillon will officiate. Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from two o'clock until the hour of service at the McDonough Hall at the church.
