Family-Placed Death Notice

(continued from previous column) Cook is survived by his wife Lane Young Cook, his three children, and three grandchildren: Jody Cook and her son Walker Mims Marshall; Rodney Mims Cook Jr., his wife Emily, and their daughters English and Alexandra Mims Cook; and Laura H. Cook. The Cook family will be forever grateful to the exceptional team of compassionate caregivers who tended to Cook at home in recent months: Louise Derival, Kenya McCray, Shanique Ewan, Sandra Isaac, and their employer, Atlanta's Best Home Nursing Care, Dr. Debra Greenwood, Director. Visitation will be held Friday, January 18, 6-8 pm, at the home of Rodney and Emily Cook. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2 pm, at the Millennium Gate Museum, 395 17th Street NW, Atlanta, 30363 (valet parking provided). Interment at Westview Abbey, 1680 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta, 30310 following the funeral service.
