BOOZER, Samuel Samuel Junius Boozer January 2, 1928 - April16, 2013 Samuel J. Boozer of Monroe, Ga peacefully passed away on April16, 2013 from his home in Monroe, GA. He was born in Atlanta, GA to Samuel Preston and Mildred Doby Boozer. He grew up in the Atlanta, GA Area. Sam was a World War II veteran and served in Japan. He also was a Mason. For the past 30 years, Sam and his wife Jean lived in Walton County. Sam was a small business owner operating businesses such as a motel in Dekalb County and a farm in Walton County. Sam left behind many memories that will continue to sustain and lift his family and friends. He left a legacy of hardwork, honesty and strength of character. He was a friend to all that he met. Sam had 1 sister, Betty Boozer Gordon, who preceded him in death. Sam is survived by his wife, Eugenia Jean Perkins Boozer and his three children, Deborah Boozer Saloom, Mark A. Boozer and A. Keith Boozer. Sam and Jean were married for 62 years and have 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for their diligent care and compassion. Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2013, 5 PM to 8 PM at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 209 S. Hammond Drive, Monroe, GA 30655, 770.267.2594. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 19, 2013, at 11 AM at Tim Stewart Funeral Chapel. Entombment with prayer and military recognition will follow at Melwood Cemetery, 5170 E. Ponce De Leon Ave., Stone Mountain, GA 30083. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials/donations be made to Gentiva Hospice, 855 Gaines School Rd., Suite G, Athens, GA. Arrangements by Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Monroe, GA.
