DUNCAN, Susan SUSAN LUCK JENKINS DUNCAN Mrs. Susan Luck Jenkins Duncan age 62, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 25, 1950, the daughter of the late Robert Phillip Jenkins and the late Jane Luck Jenkins. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1968 and the University of Georgia, School of Journalism in 1972. After her graduation from University of Georgia in the field of radio, television, and film, she began her media career at WLBB/WBTR in Carrollton. She moved to Charleston, South Carolina to sell advertisement at Y102.5 radio. She returned to Atlanta to sell media for WKIX Country radio for over a decade until her mother became ill and she moved back to Carrollton. Previously, she sold real estate for First Realty and recently joined Metro West Brokers. She was a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Carrollton Kiwanis and a past president. She received the George F. Hixson Fellowship Award in 2013. Her first love was volunteering with Kiwanis projects especially working the concessions at the University of West Georgia College football games. She was a loyal Georgia "Dawg" and an Atlanta Falcons fan. Survivors include her husband, J. Ebb Duncan, Jr.; sister, Jessica J. Jenkins of Atlanta, Georgia; aunt, Angie Luck Cook of Carrollton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Bunny Duncan of Carrollton and Robert and Helen Duncan of Roswell, Georgia; cousins, Jane and Bill Cook of Carrollton, Luck Cook of Marietta, Georgia, and Tom Cook of Farmington, New Mexico, Caroline Vason Summerlin of Jacksonville, Florida and other relatives. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist with Rev. Gerry Davis, Dr. Fred Richards, Jim Collins, and Rev. Michelle Kuhlman officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Sunday, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Interment will be in Fairburn City Cemetery.
