KNOX, Thetus Thetus Irene Allman Knox quietly passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her home in College Park, GA. She was the first female and African American to be appointed Chief of Police of Riverdale, GA. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Cascade United Methodist Church, 3144 Cascade Rd. SW, Atlanta. Rev. Dr. Marvin Moss, pastor. Instate 9 AM. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 AM on the day of service. She was preceded in death her husband, Sergeant Joseph Knox; father, Thomas Allman; brothers, Rance Allman, Michael Allman; and nephew, Brandon Allman. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: mother, Mrs. A. Estella Allman; step-daughter, Felicia Knox Sanders; granddaughter, Sydney Sanders; nephews, Jerald A. (Aneidra), Jerard M. (Roshonta), and Rance P. L. Allman II; nieces, Calandra (Ike) Campbell and Ivy Allman; and a host of other loving relatives, dear friends, and colleagues.
