Family-Placed Death Notice

LILLIE, Virginia Virginia "Gia" Ann Lillie, aged 88, died peacefully on August 21, 2013. Gia was born June 15, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Dudley and Ginny Moor. Gia thoroughly enjoyed world travel and the arts. She earned her pilots license at a young age and her adventurous spirit took off. Gia graduated from Clearwater High School and attended Florida State and the University of Michigan. Gia married Dr. J. A. Lynch of Miami, FL, and bore two children; Joseph Lynch and Elizabeth Lynch. She later married Richard C. Lillie of Newton, MA and bore a son Kim Lillie. In addition to raising her three children Gia had careers in the fashion and real estate industries. Her true passion was being an artist and teaching others. Gia was a member of Christ Church Episcopal, the Artist of Berkley Lake and an active volunteer. Gia is survived by her sister, Peg and her husband Richard C. Lillie; sons, Joseph Lynch and Kim Lillie; daughter, Elizabeth Lynch, two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and close friends. There will be a private service at Christ Church Episcopal. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Christ Church Episcopal, 400 Holcomb Bridge Road, Norcross, GA 30071.
