Family-Placed Death Notice
JONES, Jr., Dr. Wirt WIRT ADDISON JONES, JR., MD Dr. Wirt Addison Jones, Jr., MD of Staunton Drive, Marietta, died on March 5, 2013 at the age of 74. Dr. Jones is survived by his wife of 50 years, Josephine Cruikshank Jones, a daughter Alison Stewart Jones, and a son, Wirt Addison Jones, III and his wife Catherine McManus Jones, two grandsons, Wirt Addison Jones, IV and Trevor Michael Jones all of Atlanta. In addition Dr. Jones is survived by sisters Terri Jones Bell of Charleston, WV, and Susan Jones of Logan, WV. Dr. Jones was the son of the late Wirt Addison Jones Sr. and Lucille Green Jones, also, of Logan WV. Dr. Jones graduated from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, and Tulane Medical School, New Orleans, LA. He served in the United States Navy and practiced Ophthalmology in Atlanta for 41 years. There will be a private family memorial service held for Dr. Jones. Visitation with friends and family will be at 3377 Pine Meadow Rd, Atlanta 30327on Sunday evening, March 10th, from 7:00-8:30pm.
