Lawrence Parker Beckwith
9/21/1921 - 5/21/2014

Loving father and husband, he also loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind. Born in Wisconsin, Larry left his beautiful wife of 67 years Millie (Silney) Beckwith, daughters, Diane Beckwith, and Linda Sellers, and sons, Larry and Jim. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Todd Beckwith of Connecticut and Theresa Egreder of Austria, and sister, Joanne. He also left his sister, Betty Donnelly, and grandchildren; Matthew Logan Beckwith, Julie Sellers, Timothy Sellers, Mary-Ellen Beckwith Humphrey, Brandon Beckwith, and Heather Beckwith, and five great grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marines for six years. After marrying in 1946, they lived in Chicago for four years and then moved to Southern California, where Larry found work as a mechanical draftsman at North American Aviation. In 1959, he moved up to Sacramento, Calif., and was accepted as a draftsman in the Aerospace Program at Aerojet in Rancho Cordova, Calif., where he worked for 10 years. Again he moved with his family to Penryn, Calif., where he has lived for over 45 years.
Larry loved to bowl, tell corny jokes, and talk about the Bible, and spiritual things. He will be sorely missed.
